Community Guidelines for Imprint.live
1. Introduction At Imprint.live, we strive to create a safe, respectful, and engaging community for all users. Our Community Guidelines build upon our Acceptable Use Policy to ensure positive interactions while minimizing harmful behaviours such as trolling, abuse, and misinformation.
2. Community Interactions To maintain a respectful environment, user interactions on the platform are limited to the following actions:
Reactions with Fixed Emojis: Users can engage with posts using a predefined set of emojis to express their thoughts in a non-disruptive manner.
Reporting: Users can report content that violates our policies, ensuring a proactive approach to maintaining platform integrity.
Speaking Up: Users can amplify a post’s audience by endorsing it for broader visibility. This feature allows users to support content they find valuable without engaging in comment-based discussions.
3. Restrictions on Comments To prevent trolling, harassment, and abusive behaviour, direct commenting on posts is not permitted. This measure is in place to foster a positive and safe discussion-free environment.
4. Direct Messaging (DM) Policy
Direct messaging is only available between mutually connected members.
Users cannot send messages unless both parties have explicitly agreed to connect.
This feature prevents unwanted communications and ensures privacy and security for all users.
Direct messages are not moderated unless they are reported by a user.
5. Misinformation & Content Verification
Users can request that posts be verified against the Semantic Scholar database.
Verification will only proceed with the consent of the post author.
If agreed upon, recent and related scholarly articles will be retrieved to provide additional context and verification.
The platform takes no responsibility for misinformation posted by users but remains committed to minimising its spread.
Users who repeatedly share false or misleading information may face content removal, account restrictions, or bans in line with our enforcement policies.
6. When Next of Kin Can Be Contacted A nominated next of kin may be contacted if the following conditions are met:
The user has nominated a next of kin and their contact details have been provided.
The next of kin has explicitly consented to being contacted in such circumstances.
Moderators identify clear and immediate concerns regarding the user’s well-being based on publicly posted content.
A review by a human moderator confirms that urgent intervention may be necessary due to clear intent or evidence that a user will harm or has harmed themselves.
Signs of a mental health crisis, such as suicidal ideation, threats of self-harm, or severe distress, are evident in the user’s content.
Direct messages remain private unless explicitly reported, meaning next of kin will only be contacted based on public activity.
The responsibility for a user to seek help remains on the user and Imprint.live is not responsible to any harm a user may suffer while on the platform or otherwise.
7. Enforcement & Compliance Violations of the Community Guidelines will result in appropriate action, including temporary or permanent account restrictions. The following outlines the consequences for different levels of infractions:
24-Hour Suspension:
Repeatedly posting content that contains mild harassment, inappropriate language, or offensive material that does not meet the threshold for an immediate ban.
Sharing misinformation after receiving a prior warning.
Engaging in disruptive behaviour that does not warrant an immediate permanent ban.

Encouraging, promoting, or instructing self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.

Attempting to hack, manipulate, or interfere with the platform’s services.
Repeatedly violating platform policies despite prior warnings and temporary suspensions.
